2020 VISION // Using Up 20 Beauty Products in 12 Months

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a lovely time celebrating the beginning of 2020, and that no one’s feeling too hungover and tired. This year I escaped exhaustion and general awfulness, though I did get a bangin’ headache from going to bed so late!

Today I wanted to share a new Project Pan challenge and introduce you to the products I’ll attempt to use up in 2020. It might seem that I have far too many items to keep track of, however, most of them fit perfectly in one of my makeup drawers!

Essence Million Nude Faces #beYOUtiful palette

Goals: use up half of the palette, and pan every shade.

48g

The first product I chose for Project Pan 2020 is my beloved Essence Million Nude Faces palette. The shades are easy to apply, and I can pair them with other eyeshadows as well!

Technic Nudes Eyeshadows

Goal: use up the three lightest shadows.

34g

My favourites are the two end shadows, though I thoroughly enjoy using every single one of them. They work well for one shadow looks, in fact, that’s how I plan to use them most of the time.

Catrice LE ViennART Baked Eyeshadow C03 Lovely Lace

Goal: hit pan.

18g

I’ve had this single for an embarrasingly long time, and it’s time I used it up. (The hinge and half of the product broke away after I accidentally dropped it several months ago.)

Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow 060 Moss Wanted Colour

Goal: create a massive dip in the middle.

20g

I need to use this shadow before it goes bad, and this colour fits well with the other products I’ve included in this challenge!

Flormar Eyeliner 113

Goal: use it up.

2g / 50mm

I bought a white pencil liner from NYX and I like it a lot more, since the Flormar pencil feels much harder on my lids. I’ll attempt to use this as a base for different looks; we’ll see how it goes.

Golden Rose Eyeliner 305

Goal: use it up.

4g / 94mm

While I love the colour and formula of this eyeliner, I do think it’s time to use it up. Do you have any suggestions for good and affordable makeup pencils? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Rival de Loop Liquid Eye Liner 02 Brown

Goal: finish it off.

14g

I don’t like this product for many reasons, but I’m too much of a cheapskate to simply throw it out.

Rival de Loop Eyebrow Pen 02 Brown

Goal: use it up.

4g / 75mm

The shade is a tad too warm and dark for my liking, so I’ll try to finish it within the next month or two.

Essence Make Me Brow 02 Browny Brows

Goal: finish it off.

6g

It’d seem that this tube is practically empty, and yet there’s more product every time I dig into it. Hope I can use it up during January!

Eylure Brow Luminizer highlight pencil

Goal: finish it off.

10g / 112mm

I got this as a gift with purchase a long time ago, and so far I’ve only used it three or four times. Would you like to see a review once I’ve properly tried it out? If so, hit the like button!

RdeL Young Eyebrow Pomade 01 Soft Brown

Goal: use up 1/3 of what’s inside the pot.

46g

I know that brow pomades are particularly nasty to look at up-close, but there’s no other way I could share my panning progress!…

Maybelline New York Baby Lips LE Mint Candy

Goal: use it up.

12g / 25mm

I’ve had this lip balm for far too long, and it’s time I finished it off.

Revolution Iconic Matte Nude Lipstick in Wishful

Goal: use it up.

14g / 23mm

This year I chose to pan a barely used nude lipstick, which has the exact formula and finish I’d reach for every day.

It’ll be fun seeing how much of this lipstick I can use in a year, don’t you think?

Revolution Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette Light-Medium

Goal: use up any four concealers.

146g

I use these concealers to clean up around the brows and to prime my lids before applying eyeshadow, and so far I’ve hit major pan in one of the shades. (My mini-goal is to finish off the panned shade before February!)

Technic Colour Fix Pressed Powder Contour Palette

Goal: use up all powders.

116g

There’s very little powder left inside this palette, so hopefully I can use it up in a few months.

Rival de Loop Bronzing Powder 01 Salted Caramel

Goal: hit pan.

44g

I’ve had this bronzer for over a year and I’ve used it only a few times, even though I enjoy the way it looks on my skin. It’s time I gave it some love, don’t you think? 🙂

Essence Silky Touch Blush 90 Summer Dreaming

Goal: finish it off!

18g

I’ve already used up half of this blush, so it shouldn’t be difficult to finish it!

Catrice Nude Illusion Transparent Loose Powder

Goal: use it up.

44g

While this is one of my most-repurchased products, in 2020 I would like to review some other brands powders as well. However, before I go on a shopping spree, I have to finish off what I already have.

Ekél Charcoal Peel Off Pack

Goal: finish it up.

172g

I don’t use face masks as often as I probably should, which is why I included it in this Project Pan. Hopefully I can incorporate it in my weekly self-care routine!

25 different perfume & cologne samples

Goal: use them all up.

92g

I have collected a handful of perfume samples, and this year I’d like to use ’em all up!

I think some of these products will last me until December, while others will be gone by spring!

My goals for January are simple: I want to use all products as often as possible, and see how much I can finish off in a month. From there I’ll be able to determine which products will require most of my attention!
