Golden Rose LONGSTAY Liquid Matte Lipstick reviews & swatches

Hey!

Today I’m here with an in-depth review of the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick shades 04 and 05, as well as some hand and lip swatches! As much as I love nude lipsticks, sometimes I like to switch things up and wear bolder colours like bright coral red or eggplant, and I especially love long-lasting lip products that won’t make my lips as dry as the Sahara desert. Golden Rose LONGSTAY Liquid Matte Lipsticks

A Perfect Long  lasting, full-coverage and non-transfer liquid matte lipstick, lasts for hours on the lips weightless and without feeling of dryness. Enriched with Vitamin E and Avocado Oil to leave your lips soft, supple and without sticky feeling. Easly coats your lips with its creamy, smooth texture and flexible applicator. After application keep the lips apart for a few minutes until it sets. Easy removal with Two-Phase Make up Remover.

• Large shade variety, as there are around 30 shades to choose from. Their range includes lots of nudes and vampy lip colour options, as well as red, pink and brown shades.
• It has a soft and comfortable paddle-type applicator.
• The product has a sweet vanilla scent that quickly fades away. It’s not too strong or headache-inducing, though it does feel a bit chemically.
• Thin, liquidy formula that doesn’t bleed everywhere upon application.
• Lasts on the lips for 4-8 hours before it starts wearing off. Of course, it depends on how much you’re talking, eating and drinking, but that’s a fairly good estimate.
• Within a few minutes it dries down and turns completely matte. It looks shiny until it dries or if you’ve applied more than two layers.
• Once the product dries down my lips feel quite dry, but not so dry as to crack and bleed.
• The product doesn’t accentuate the lines of my lips too much.
• It doesn’t crumble off the lips when talking, though it can come off slightly if you were to eat or drink something oily.
• Doesn’t dry out my lips in the long-run.
• Kissproof; I gave my cat’s forehead a little smooch and his head wasn’t covered in lipstick!

• It’s hard to get a crisp line using the applicator, so you may need to use a lip brush to line your lips.
• The lipstick may come off the inner part of your lips if you were to eat anything substantial, though the lip line will stay put the whole day.
• One layer of product looks a bit patchy and streaky, so you will need to apply two layers.
• You shouldn’t apply more than two layers of product. With three or more layers the product feels leathery and starts to peel off.
• Keep the tube vertically with the top facing up, otherwise some weird, sticky liquid starts leaking from the opening.

GOLDEN ROSE LONGSTAY LIQUID MATTE LIPSTICK SWATCHES

I currently have two shades of the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick, and both of them are very colourful and bold.

Shade 04 is an amaranth colour (or bright pink with warm undertones) and looks quite bright when worn. It’s very similar to Maybelline New York Creamy Mattes lippie in 960 Red Sunset, and in real life it could pass for a red lipstick.

Shade 05 is a deep eggplant/wine colour with warm undertones. In real life it looks almost black, especially if you apply two coats. 

I like them both a lot, but I wouldn’t use these lippies every day as I prefer bringing attention to my eyes, not my mouth. I happily use them whenever I want to wear bold lipstick that lasts all day long! And I would recommend them to people who like bright lippies that won’t make you look like a vampire that just had dinner.
