GOSH Catchy Eyes Drama Mascara Review & Wear Test
Hey!
Today I’m reviewing the Gosh Catchy Eyes Drama mascara, which comes from a popular Danish brand that I’ve never tried before. At this point I’ve used this mascara enough to form an opinion about it, and I must admit that my first impressions of Gosh are very positive.

- The brush of the mascara is relatively small, curved, and has several rows of closely-placed bristles. There are longer bristles at the tip which help to apply product on the inner corners of the eyes. However, I can’t tell if it’s a “natural” bristle or silicone brush!
- The product has no scent. Some unscented mascaras stink like the bottom of the garbage bin, however, this particular mascara smells more like flower stems. That being said, you can only feel the scent when you’re sniffing the product!
- Mascara’s creamy formula doesn’t change much after opening. The formula is leaning towards being dry, though it’s not thick or goopy.
- Dries down within a minute or two after application, but it doesn’t smudge around while drying.
- I find it easy to catch and evenly coat each eyelash with just enough product to make my eyes look nice. I haven’t had issues with getting product all over my eyelids, and I haven’t poked myself in the eye with the bristles, which is an issue I’ve had to deal with in the past.
- The mascara can give you a false lash effect, as long as we’re talking about natural-looking falsies. After one coat my lashes look naturally pretty, and after two coats they look more glamorous and suitable for heavier makeup looks. I wouldn’t recommend applying more than two coats, though!
- Product easily separates, lengthens, and gives the lashes extra volume. It holds the natural curl of my lashes for at least 4-6 hours, but my lashes don’t look straight even after 8+ hours of use.
- As long as you’re careful and patient during the mascara application process, you won’t get clumpy, spidery lashes. Use wiggly motions when applying the mascara as it’ll help add more volume and separation!
- The product doesn’t have a waterproof formula and yet it stays on even if you have slightly watery eyes or get caught up in light rain.
- Generally, it lasts on my eyelashes for ~6 hours before I notice any smudging or crumbling, but it could be worn for 12+ hours with little issues, unless the crumbs get in your eyes.
- Although the product is really good, I personally wouldn’t repurchase it because of its high price point. I got it on sale for less than 5 euros, as I’d be too stingy to spend nearly 14 euros on mascara every few months when I can get similar products for third of the price.
- The majority of the product will remain on the lashes for most of the day, but eventually some of it will start to smudge and crumble beneath the eyes. The day I was taking wear-test photos, some crumbs got in my eye and I had use Bepanthen eye drops and tissues to get them out. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the product or my makeup removal technique, though.
- Don’t wait too long before applying a second coat, unless you like having spidery lashes.
#QOTD: Have you tried the Gosh Catchy Eyes Drama mascara, or any of their other products? I find that their brand is quite expensive, but I’m still interested to hear if there are any gems worth knowing about. If you have any product suggestions, feel free to leave them down below, I’d love to hear them. 🙂
Until later,
