I’M FEELING TWENTY-TWO // My 22nd Birthday Makeup Look!
Hey!
Today I wanted to share the look I created on my 22nd birthday! As it happens almost every year, my birthday was a hectic day, and I was more than happy to notice that my makeup stayed on until it was time to take it off!

✨ eye makeup ✨
Step 1: Fill in your brows and, if necessary, use a concealer that matches your skin colour to clean up around them.
Step 2: Prime the eyelids with either concealer or eyeshadow base. Use a flat brush and a matte eyeshadow that’s a little lighter than your skin to highlight the brow bone.
Step 3: Place sticky tape at the outer corners of your eyes; it’ll help create sharper wings!
Step 4: Use a fluffy eyeshadow brush and blend the light pink shimmer in the crease. You can also extend it towards the tape to create a light, shimmery reflection above the darker wing!
Step 5: Use a thin, slanted brush and dark, shimmery grey eyeshadow to create wings. Once you’re happy with the wings, line your upper lash line with black liquid eyeliner.
Step 6: Remove the tape, apply a few coats of mascara on both top and bottom lashes, and throw on fake lashes to finish off the look! (I lost my lash glue, so today I only used mascara.)
✨ face makeup ✨
Step 1: Use concealer and/or foundation to even out your skin tone and hide blemishes. I used it underneath my eyes, around my nose, and everywhere I had spots or pimples. This step is optional, and you can skip it if you want to!
Step 2: Once the concealer has dried down, take a fluffy face brush and apply bronzer wherever you usually apply it. I like to blend it on the cheekbones, nose, and everywhere else where sun would naturally hit my face.
Step 3: Highlight the cheekbones and the nose bridge with a shimmery golden highlighter. Carefully blend it with a clean kabuki brush to make sure there are no harsh lines, and reapply the product until you’re satisfied with the results!
Step 4: Apply some lipstick and you’re done! I mixed two lipsticks to achieve a neutral orange shade, however, this eye makeup will look nice with any colour lipstick!
✨ mandatory narcissistic photos ✨
Since my birthday was a very busy day, I didn’t have enough time to take makeup photos right after I finished the look. Because of that, I took some photos at the end of the day after freshening up my face makeup. Honestly, I’m impressed how well my makeup looked nearly eight hours after application!
#QOTD: What does your ideal birthday look like? On my ideal birthday I’d like to wake up early, work until late afternoon to feel productive, and spend the evening eating delicious food and watching movies. Now that I think about it, I literally described this birthday! 😊
Until later,
