SWEET SPIDERLILY LAUNCH DAY // my shop is finally open, you guys!

Hey!

I have done something I’ve wanted to do since I was a child, which is to start my own shop! I teased some behind-the-scenes photos earlier this year, but starting a shop takes more time than I accounted for so I had to delay the shop opening until later this year. However, the launch day is finally here and I can’t wait to introduce Sweet Spiderlily to all of you!

Why did I name my shop Sweet Spiderlily?

I had to come up with a short, unique, and memorable name, so I went on a Google deep-dive to find something that resonated with my ideas for the shop. Soon enough I saw spider lilies which reminded me of drawings from an ancient spell book, and I loved their spooky-yet-cute vibes!

Where is my shop located & how to place an order.

Sweet Spiderlily is an online shop located in Latvia and we’re currently selling our products through Instagram. At some point we might open an Etsy shop too, though our main goal is to launch our own website!

You can place an order through Instagram DMs by messaging us which products you’d like to purchase.

After a few additional questions, we’ll send you an order receipt and your order will be on its way as soon as we receive the payment!

(I often use “we” when speaking about my shop because I’d love to grow to a point where I can afford to have employees. Plus, using “we” feels more ✨professional✨, don’t you think?)

What products does Sweet Spiderlily offer, and how often will there be new launches?

I offer mostly beaded or polymer clay jewellery, though soon I will also offer felt plushies, keychains, greeting cards, and other handmade items.

New products are added on a daily basis, and new collections will be released once or twice a month. In fact, this year’s autumn and Halloween collections will come out at the beginning of September!

What are my plans for the future?

Within the next few months I plan to release some jewellery boxes, plushies, keychains, and a few other small handmade items. Over time I’d love to offer more diverse jewellery, paintings, larger home decor pieces, and maybe even fashion items. To be honest, if my business becomes successful, the options of what products I could release are endless!

I’m currently working on my painting and polymer clay sculpting skills; my current goal is to get better at watercolour and learn how to make polymer clay canes. 💕 Besides that, I’m also reading (more like studying) books about marketing and trying to learn Czech language as I’d love to move there within the next few years.
