ABOUT XOCALIGO
My name is Cindy and I’m a 23-year-old girl from Latvia with a love for beauty, books, and everything in-between.
Ever since I was a child I loved creating my own “magazines” using scraps from old magazines, and I dreamt of becoming a journalist or a full-time writer. Once the Internet came along, I would spend hours reading different blogs and surfing the web, which is how I got the idea of starting my own blog. In August 2017 the stars aligned in my favour, and I launched xocaligo.com!
On my blog xocaligo.com you’ll find loads of product reviews and makeup looks, Project Pan challenges, and random lifestyle posts like book reviews and recipes!
My goals are to help any beauty lovers find great products in the drugstore price range, and to entertain people who love the same lifestyle things I do. Most of the products I review on my blog are cruelty-free as I hate the idea of harming animals. At the moment, my favourite cruelty-free brands include Catrice, Essence, Revolution, and Rival de Loop, so don’t be surprised to see so many reviews featuring their products. 🙂
As if I haven’t talked about myself enough, here are a few more random facts about me!
- My favourite music comes from Lana del Rey, The Neighbourhood, OneRepublic, Cage the Elephant and The Black Keys.
- I’m an adoptive mama to four cats: two gingers named Ron and Hermione, and two tabbies named Lizzy and Long John!
- On particularly stressful days I enjoy binge-watching my favourite TV shows like The Nanny, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, or Hannibal.
- I love having a cup of hot coffee in the morning, mainly because I associate drinking coffee with productivity! (And I genuinely like the taste of plain black coffee.)
- My favourite book is Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, and I believe it’s one of those books everyone should read at least once in their lives!
