APRIL RESULTS // 2020 VISION Project Pan

Hey!

Today I’m offering you April results of this year’s Project Pan as a way to celebrate International Workers’ Day! This time around I’m also decluttering a few things and removing them from this challenge, as I don’t want to force myself to use products I don’t like. If I already know I dislike them after dozens of trials, why keep them if I have better alternatives?

Essence Million Nude Faces #beYOUtiful palette

Goals: use up half of the palette, and pan every shade.

48g • 46g

Using the panned shades is getting difficult as most of the product is concentrated around the edges of the pan. Hopefully I’ll have more to share in the next update!

Technic Nudes Eyeshadows

Goal: use up the three lightest shadows.

34g • 32g

Unfortunately, last month I neglected this palette and have no progress to share.

Catrice LE ViennART Baked Eyeshadow C03 Lovely Lace

Goal: hit pan.

18g

Used this shadow a few times, and realized that I prefer applying it on clean eyelids using my fingertips; it makes the final look more subdued and “natural”.

Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow 060 Moss Wanted Colour

Goal: create a massive dip in the middle.

20g

I don’t think I used this shadow more than once or twice, so there’s nothing new to share.

Flormar Eyeliner 113

Goal: use it up.

2g / 50mm • 2g / 49mm • 2g / 45mm • 2g / 43mm • 2g / 40mm

I used a few more millimeters of this pencil! Hopefully I can finish it off within two weeks. 🙂

Golden Rose Eyeliner 305

Goal: use it up.

4g / 94mm • 4g / 89mm • 4g / 84mm • 4g / 77mm • 2g / 70mm

Didn’t think I’d be able to use up this much product but here we are! My goal for May would be to use up ten extra millimeters, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to achieve it.

Rival de Loop Liquid Eye Liner 02 Brown

Goal: finish it off. ✔️

14g • 12g

I’ve decided to declutter this product as I can’t be forced to use it. I like other liners more anyway!

Rival de Loop Eyebrow Pen 02 Brown

Goal: use it up.

4g / 75mm • 4g / 70mm • 4g / 68mm • 2g / 63mm • 2g / 59mm

During April I often applied a light layer of this pencil all over my brows, then combed through them with a dense spoolie to evenly disperse the product. After that I cleaned up around the edges using some concealer, creating defined and “natural” looking brows!

Essence Make Me Brow 02 Browny Brows

Goal: finish it off. ✔️

6g

I didn’t once use this eyebrow gel during April so I’ve decided to throw it out.

Eylure Brow Luminizer highlight pencil

Goal: finish it off.

10g / 112mm • 10g / 110mm • 8g / 89mm • 8g / 81mm • 8g / 74mm

My guess is that next month I’ll use half of what’s left of this pencil. Do you think I could do it? Leave your thoughts below!

RdeL Young Eyebrow Pomade 01 Soft Brown

Goal: use up 1/3 of what’s inside the pot.

46g

Last month I barely reached for this product as I was concentrating on other products. The few times I used it I could tell it’s getting drier, so I don’t know how long it’ll be usable!

Maybelline New York Baby Lips LE Mint Candy

Goal: use it up.

12g / 25mm • 12g / 22mm • 12g / 20mm • 12g / 18mm

Recently I’ve started using it every night before bed, and I was able to make some progress.

Revolution Iconic Matte Nude Lipstick in Wishful

Goal: use it up.

14g / 23mm • 14g / 22mm • 14g / 21mm • 14g / 18mm

During April I rarely used this lipstick so there’s not a lot to update you on.

Revolution Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette Light-Medium

Goal: use up any four concealers.

146g • 144g

Using up these concealers is harder than I thought, and I still have lots of product left.

Technic Colour Fix Pressed Powder Contour Palette

Goal: use up all powders.

116g • 114g • 112g

I managed to further extend the pan in these bronzers, though there’s still two months worth of product left inside.

Rival de Loop Bronzing Powder 01 Salted Caramel

Goal: hit pan.

44g • 42g • 40g

I used this bronzer more as it’s easier to grab than the palette, though lately I prefer the look of a powder or cream blush instead.

Catrice Nude Illusion Transparent Loose Powder

Goal: use it up.

44g • 42g

I used this product a few times, though not enough to make a huge difference.

Ekél Charcoal Peel Off Pack

Goal: finish it up.

172g • 162g • 156g • 148g

Last month I used this mask once or twice on my neck and shoulder area, and I didn’t get any pimples! Isn’t that exciting?

25 different perfume & cologne samples

Goal: use them all up.

92g • 80g • 66g • 46g

During April I used up five perfume samples, and now I have only 14 samples left. The problem is, I have only one women’s perfume sample left, and the rest are men’s colognes… 😀

The first perfume sample I wanted to mention is the Luca Macchi sample.

I couldn’t find references of it on the Fragrantica website, but after surfing on the Internet I found Étonnant de Luca Macchi, which is a men’s eau de toilette. The sample I have doesn’t smell like the typical men’s cologne at all; I’d call the scent androgynous as it’s both sweet and soapy fresh, and has somewhat earthy undertones. I liked it a lot, and I’d love to own a bottle of something similar!

“In November 2015, the new edition Alaïa Extrait de Parfum is launched, which represents a sensual interpretation of the original with a pronounced “second skin” effect. The top notes are fresh due to airy accords. The heart is an abstract floral impression that includes violet and iris. The base captures animalistic leather and musky notes that create the impression of a second skin, enhanced by warm vanilla. The composition is signed by perfumer Marie Salamagne.”

This perfume seems very warm, sweet, and a bit too mature for my liking. I’d love to wear it if I was older and going to some important evening event, but I can’t see myself reaching for perfumes like this within the next few years.

“Sun is for cheerful happy women, made up of notes of solar flowers and fruits. There are aromas of peach, rose, freesia and musk.”

Source: https://www.fragrantica.com

Sun is a cheerfully fresh and sweet scent, which reminds me of a sunlit flower garden in the middle of July. It doesn’t seem to have any citrus notes but that’s what I’m getting the most; perhaps it’s the mixture of the peach, musk, and freesia?… I can also feel a fleeting scent of rose oil, but the other aromas are much more prominent. Personally, I wouldn’t search for something similar as the scent is too sweet for my liking and I’d get nauseous if I wore it, but I can see why other people might’ve loved it!

“Giordani De Oriflame Eau De Toilette Concentree by Oriflame is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. (…) Top notes are white flowers, mandarin orange, lemon blossom and orange blossom; middle notes are jasmine, tuberose and white lily; base notes are cypress, patchouli, musk, cedar and oakmoss.”

Giordani is a very strong and musky perfume, which will suit more mature individuals who love smoky floral scents. Something about this perfume reminds me of my grandma in the best way possible, and while I liked the nostalgia Giordani brought me, this scent doesn’t fit me.

“Volare by Oriflame is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. The nose behind this fragrance is Fabrice Pellegrin. Top notes are apricot and peach; middle notes are rose, lilac, iris and violet; base notes are sandalwood, amber and musk.”

Source: https://www.fragrantica.com

Volare feels young, fresh, and slightly edgy, and I’m honestly surprised so many people didn’t like this scent on the Fragrantica website. The best way I can describe the scent is powdery rose mixed with fresh apricot and peach, as well as sandalwood and musk. Out of the five samples I used up during April, Volare is my favourite; one day I’d love to buy something similar!
