FEBRUARY RESULTS // 2020 VISION Project Pan

Hey!

Today I’m ready to share my February results, which include lots of panned products, nearly used up palettes, and two perfume sample reviews. There was a week when I didn’t wear any makeup as I had some issues with my back muscles, however, I’m happy about the progress I was able to make. After all, I did use up over 20 grams of products!

Essence Million Nude Faces #beYOUtiful palette

Goals: use up half of the palette, and pan every shade.

48g • 46g

Last month I managed to hit pan in the matte auburn shade, and during March I’m hoping to do the same to the rosegold and copper shimmers. I also want to use up the cream and light taupe shadows, and get more use out of the champagne shimmer!

Technic Nudes Eyeshadows

Goal: use up the three lightest shadows.

34g • 32g

I’ve decided to try my best at using this palette up completely, so next month I’ll focus on panning the pink and lighter brown shadows. I also have to finish the caramel tone, but that shouldn’t take long.

Catrice LE ViennART Baked Eyeshadow C03 Lovely Lace

Goal: hit pan.

18g

I noticed that some bits would detach from the pan and fall all over my lap every time I handled it, so that might be the reason why there’s any progress at all.

Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow 060 Moss Wanted Colour

Goal: create a massive dip in the middle.

20g

I used this shadow a few times, and I have created a slight dip in the middle. It takes many uses to see any difference in the pan, as this product is highly pigmented and easily blendable!

Flormar Eyeliner 113

Goal: use it up.

2g / 50mm • 2g / 49mm • 2g / 45mm

I finally tried using this as an eyeshadow base and it works really well. I might finish it off by the time April rolls around, mostly because I need to sharpen it after three or four uses.

Golden Rose Eyeliner 305

Goal: use it up.

4g / 94mm • 4g / 89mm • 4g / 84mm

I like applying it along the upper lash line for neutral looks, and putting it in my waterline for more dramatic looks. So far I’m down ten milimeters, and I’d love to use up just as much during March!

Rival de Loop Liquid Eye Liner 02 Brown

Goal: finish it off.

14g • 12g

I used this liner several times throughout February, and I hated it every time I did. It feels heavy on my lids, and it crumples away so easily!

Rival de Loop Eyebrow Pen 02 Brown

Goal: use it up.

4g / 75mm • 4g / 70mm • 4g / 68mm

I like using this product for natural everyday looks, but I don’t use it as often as I’m trying to pan the brow pomade.

Essence Make Me Brow 02 Browny Brows

Goal: finish it off.

6g

I feel like there’s maybe a month or two of use in the tube, so I’ll try to use it up until the beginning of summer.

Eylure Brow Luminizer highlight pencil

Goal: finish it off.

10g / 112mm • 10g / 110mm • 8g / 89mm

A few weeks ago I finally bought a sharpener for this pencil, and then a few days later I found the sharpener I had lost! Don’t you hate when that happens?

Anywho, I tried using it to clean up around the brows but didn’t like the results, so I started applying the matte part as eyeshadow base and shimmer as cream highlighter. So far, so good!

RdeL Young Eyebrow Pomade 01 Soft Brown

Goal: use up 1/3 of what’s inside the pot.

46g

I have created a rather large crater on one side, which made me realize that the inside is sort-of domed.

Maybelline New York Baby Lips LE Mint Candy

Goal: use it up.

12g / 25mm • 12g / 22mm

I didn’t think I had used this balm all that often, however, I’m down by three whole milimeters! How cool is that!

Revolution Iconic Matte Nude Lipstick in Wishful

Goal: use it up.

14g / 23mm • 14g / 22mm • 14g / 21mm

I mostly kept this lippie in my purse and used it whenever I was leaving the house, however, it is a difficult product to reapply: it feels heavy and changes colour around the inner rim of my lips!

By the way, I decided to leave the photo from last update, since there are no visible differences between the photos.

Revolution Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette Light-Medium

Goal: use up any four concealers.

146g

Finally used up one of the shades and panned another one. I found that my skin tone is too light for the other shades, but hopefully I’ll catch a few sunrays and will be able to use the others, too.

Technic Colour Fix Pressed Powder Contour Palette

Goal: use up all powders.

116g • 114g

I hit pan in both bronzer shades and almost used up the remaining powders. Do you think I could finish this palette by April? Let me know your thoughts down below!

Rival de Loop Bronzing Powder 01 Salted Caramel

Goal: hit pan.

44g • 42g

I used enough to wear off most of the lettering, and I hope to hit pan by the end of spring.

Essence Silky Touch Blush 90 Summer Dreaming

Goal: finish it off!

18g • 12g

I have only a month’s worth of product in here, and I’ll be happy to move on to other blushes once this is done. I don’t think I’ll include another blush in this project, though.

Catrice Nude Illusion Transparent Loose Powder

Goal: use it up.

44g • 42g

The weather is getting warmer, and I’ll probably get a lot more use out of this product once the temperature outside starts rising above 20°C.

Ekél Charcoal Peel Off Pack

Goal: finish it up.

172g • 162g

I used it once, and I’m pretty sure my skin broke out because of it. Of course, the unhealthy food I like to eat might be the real culprit, but I’d rather blame the mask than French fries, you know?

25 different perfume & cologne samples

Goal: use them all up.

92g • 80g • 66g

Last month I finished off only two samples, but it’s alright as I got some use out of other samples, too. I’m getting low on women’s perfumes, so I’ve started using fragrances for men on days when I don’t have to leave the house. Thankfully, many of them are quite universal and don’t remind me of dudebros you might see at your local gas station at 3 AM.

February Project Pan results include two used up Oriflame perfume samples, the Freya EDT and Aromacare Relaxing Body Scent.

“Aromacare Soothing by Oriflame is a Floral fragrance for women. Aromacare Soothing was launched in 2003. The fragrance features immortelle.”

This was my favourite sample out of the two! It felt really clean, like freshly washed bedsheets that were left to dry on a string in the backyard, but it also has some warm and musky undertones. I’d love to buy a similar scent!

“Freya by Oriflame is a Floral fragrance for women. Freya was launched in 2002. The nose behind this fragrance is Philippe Bousseton. Top notes are citruses and sea notes; middle notes are green notes, wildflowers, lily-of-the-valley, rose and ginger; base notes are patchouli, cedar and sandalwood.”

The scent reminded me of floral soap: it was sweet and strong, but had some fresh and clean notes to it as well. I can’t say I’ll search for a similar perfume, though I can see why other people might’ve enjoyed it!

✨ some of the looks I created in february ✨

I thought it’d be fun to share some of the eyelooks I created during the month! I used some extra products, too, but for the most part I stuck to the things I’ve included in this challenge. Would you like to see my March looks in the next update? If so, hit the like button!
