PISCES // soft & glowy pastel purple look for spring // zodiac sign makeup

Hey!

Several years ago, I did a makeup look series inspired by the twelve Zodiac signs, but after going through my past posts, I wasn’t happy with most of the looks. Because of that, I decided to redo the series and share a Zodiac inspired makeup look each month of 2022, starting in February. Today I wanted to share a soft pastel purple look inspired by Pisces for the upcoming Pisces season, but the look is so pretty anyone will enjoy it!

Pisces are kind and caring people who have great imaginations.

They love seeing happy people so they do everything in their power to bring joy! Pisces dedicate themselves to everything, whether it’s a job or a relationship, and they trust their feelings like no other.

A happy Pisces is easy-going and happy, though at times they can become shy, or even secretive. That’s the mysterious side of them peeking through, as they prefer keeping their thoughts and feelings to themselves.

What are Pisces downsides?

Pisces are daydreamers, so they might not do too well in leadership positions. Many Pisces are too sensitive and indecisive and have problems with finishing tasks.

Many Pisces often feel misunderstood; they can get really pessimistic! They are often deeply religious, so mixing that with pessimism can lead to bigotry and intolerance towards those who oppose their views. (Not to say all Pisces are religious or mean; this is just a generalization!)

✨ pisces inspired makeup look ✨

This soft purple and white look is perfect for spring months, and it’ll look beautiful on those who have green and brown eyes. (Though it’ll work for everyone else, too.)

By the way, how do you like this thumbnail? I’m thinking of doing something similar for each Zodiac sign look, and maybe some other blog posts, too!

Products used:

  • RdeL Young Eyebrow Pomade 01 Soft Brown
  • Rival Loves Me Brow Mascara in 01 Ash Blond
  • Revolution Ultra Cover & Conceal palette in Light-Medium
  • Essence My Must Haves eyeshadow in 14 Purple Clouds
  • Sleek Ultra Matte Brights palette (purple shade)
  • Revolution Skin Kiss highlighter in Ice Kiss
  • NYX Slim Eye Pencil in White
  • Catrice 24h Brush Liner Waterproof 010 Ultra Black
  • Essence Lash Princess Curl & Volume mascara
  • Catrice Liquid Camouflage concealer in 010 Porcellain

1. At first, I did my brows using the pomade and brow mascara. After that, I cleaned up around them using a skin-toned concealer. I primed my lids with the same concealer and patted a matte cream eyeshadow beneath the brows. It helps set the concealer in place and creates a smooth base for blending eyeshadows. You can skip this step, but if you choose to do this, use a matte eyeshadow that’s a shade or two lighter than your skin tone.

2. Use a dense blending brush to blend a light pastel purple eyeshadow in the crease. Concentrate most of the colour in the crease and blend upwards, nearly touching your eyebrows. I used the lightest purple shade I have, the Essence My Must Haves eyeshadow; use whatever purple colours you have in your collection.

3. Take a small, dense barrel brush, dip it into a bright purple, and pat the colour on the inner and outer parts of the lid. Blend it all over the lower lid, too, then use a fluffy blending brush to smooth out the edges. If necessary, reapply the colour on the eyelids.

4. Take a tiny brush, pick up some white highlighter, and apply it to the middle parts of your eyelids. Apply it on the inner corners and the brow bone too!

5. Apply the white pencil liner on the waterline to brighten up your eyes. After that, apply black liquid liner along the lashes and create a wing, or follow the natural shape of your eyes and drag the line accordingly. (My outer eye corners point downwards, so the line went down and reminds me of the currently popular puppy eyeliner look.) In the end, apply one or two coats of mascara on the lashes, and clean up the undereye with some concealer!

  1. This is really pretty and soft, I especially like how the highlighter looks on the light purple on the middle of your lid.

And thank you for choosing purple as your eyeshadow color! For Pisces everybody always creates a blue/green look and it gets boring after a while.

    • Thank you so much! 💕 I love using highlighter as eyeshadow, it often works better than shimmery eyeshadows.

Honestly, I didn’t even know that other’s do blue or green, though I guess it makes sense as the symbol for pisces is fish. 😁 (Though there are purple fish, too!)
