YOU’RE SO GOLDEN // cut crease with holo glitter step by step tutorial

Hey!

Today I’m sharing a beautiful golden holographic eye look with a graphic liner that would make Ancient Egyptians feel jealous! I used only drugstore products, and each step is described and shown in a separate photo. Hope you’ll love this look just as much as I did!

I always want to know what makeup looks you’d like to see most. Some of the ideas on my list are a duochromatic silver halo eye, as well as a few different types of smoky eyes. If you have any fun makeup ideas, feel free to leave them in the comments below!

✨ you’re so golden makeup look ✨

Today’s look was inspired by “Golden”, a beautiful and cheerful song by Harry Styles, which I love dearly. However, I can imagine how beautiful it’d look if you used neon green, purple, lime or any other colour!

Products used:

  • Rival de Loop Define & Fill Cosy Brush Eyebrow Pen 02 Brunette
  • Revolution Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette in Light-Medium
  • Essence The Nude Edition eyeshadow palette
  • DNC gold holographic cosmetic glitter
  • Essence Lash Princess Flase Lash Effect mascara
  • Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer in 015 Honey

1. I started by filling in my brows and priming the eyelids with concealer.

After that, I patted an ivory shade below my brows to slightly highlight the brow bone and blended a warm matte brown eyeshadow above the natural crease of my eye with upwards motions. Make sure that the brown shade is visible when you open your eyes and don’t be afraid to blend it close to your eyebrows.

2. Pick up a bit of skin-toned concealer on a flat concealer brush and “carve” the moving lid.

Follow the natural shape of your eyeballs and go slightly above it, making sure that the line is as smooth as possible. Blend the concealer in an open wing shape on the outer corners.

3. Use an angled brush to pack a matte chocolate brown along the upper part of the shape you created with concealer.

Create a slight wing on the outer part of your eye, and avoid placing the eyeshadow on the rest of the lid.

4. Use more concealer to clean up the bottom part of the brown eyeshadow line.

Make sure that the line is sharp and that you’re happy with its shape. If you need to reapply the eyeshadow, use a fine angled brush and tap off the excess powder from the brush before using it.

5. Carefully apply bronze shimmer all over the bare part of your eyelid, avoiding the dark line.

I decided to blend the shimmer on the outer part; this way, it shifts from shimmer to bare skin, but you can apply it in a winged shape to further accentuate the graphic eyeliner.

6. I added sparkle to this look by applying gold holographic glitter on the moving parts of my eyelids.

Use glitter glue, or spray setting spray on a flat eye brush and dip it into the glitter, then press the glittery side of the brush to the eyelids until you’re satisfied with the results. (Be careful, don’t get glitter in your eyes, as it can cause irritation or permanent damage!) Instead of using any eyeliner, I decided to apply a coat of mascara and throw on some fake lashes. They are on their last legs, but I’m determined to use them at least a few more times! 😀

✨ finished look pics ✨

I’m bad at taking frontal photos of my face, and my eye shape doesn’t help at all! However, that won’t stop me from showing how this makeup looks from different angles.
